  • Enjoyed our whole experience. All the gallery displays were really informative. Cyclone Tracy was amazing. It certainly brought to life what people went through and came out the other side showing great resilience and determination to rebuild their lives. We spent a couple of hours at the museum and art gallery and the bonus was we weren't frozen as has been the case in a lot of other places. Thank you.
  • Interesting building, some interesting exhibits inside. A good way to spend a few hours. Free admission.
  • Nice museum, for familys but also people who want to see a bit of Darwin while the big storms and now
  • Its ok. Nothing extraordinary apart from the cyclone tracy exhibition and the sweetheart. Entry is free!😊
  • Friendly staff. Interesting museum. Expensive Cafe though.

Where to stay in Darwin

A small but distinctly cosmopolitan city, Darwin offers a surprisingly diverse range of lodgings, with most hotels located in or near the central business district. Despite this, finding a comfortable room during the peak May-to-September season can be extremely difficult, especially if you don't book ahead of your visit. If planning months in advance isn't an option, consider staying at a backpacker hostel or guesthouse outside the city center. Many of these smaller establishments offer access to free Wi-Fi and outdoor swimming pools.
