Perfect way for kids to have lots of fun, and amazingly it's free. Shaded areas for parents to sit, and a playground also for rest between water slides. Just note the big slides are not open all day, ...  more »

There is a large water play area for young children and older children alike, as well as a large pool close by with lifeguards in every area. There is a large set of three slides here and a dry playground. I more enjoy the skatepark though and love the design that caters to everyone's tastes. Did I mention that all facilities here are free to use and there is a cafeteria for a quick bite to eat.

Great value, considering it's free. Nice large water park, fun water slides without long queues. Worth checking out with the family if looking to escape the heat.

No lockers that work, told to leave bags out on grass. Kiosk closed without explanation, slides only open on 29tb February. Put an entry fee on the water park and run it properly.

Great Water Park with lots of fun play for all ages. Extensive water play area, large fenced in Lagoon and three super slides. Great shaded playground as well as a skate park. Cafè/Bistro on site.

Where to stay in Darwin

A small but distinctly cosmopolitan city, Darwin offers a surprisingly diverse range of lodgings, with most hotels located in or near the central business district. Despite this, finding a comfortable room during the peak May-to-September season can be extremely difficult, especially if you don't book ahead of your visit. If planning months in advance isn't an option, consider staying at a backpacker hostel or guesthouse outside the city center. Many of these smaller establishments offer access to free Wi-Fi and outdoor swimming pools.
