4.1/5 based on 70 reviews on the web
The man-made Lake Alexander sits languorously amid trees and lush grassland, giving it a laid-back, picturesque air. Officially opened in 1991, the lake was named after Alec Fong Lim, a former Mayor of Darwin. The water is filtered, meaning that dangerous marine predators are usually not to be found in the lake. • Provides an alternative to swimming in the sea with sandy beaches and parkland to lie around in. Fresh water showers available. Part of the East Point Reserve, with wallabys etc.
  • No crocs here this is man made and you can swim. A lovely place for a family picnic. Lots of wild life - wallabies and birds. Beautiful views.
  • RESTful, well organized, rather than peak picnic by excellence not own attention Sunday! Possibly a few kangaroos not far
