Where to stay in Darwin

A small but distinctly cosmopolitan city, Darwin offers a surprisingly diverse range of lodgings, with most hotels located in or near the central business district. Despite this, finding a comfortable room during the peak May-to-September season can be extremely difficult, especially if you don't book ahead of your visit. If planning months in advance isn't an option, consider staying at a backpacker hostel or guesthouse outside the city center. Many of these smaller establishments offer access to free Wi-Fi and outdoor swimming pools.

  • Perfect for a splash for the little kids. The play equipment is also of a good standard and the kids loved every minute of it. BBQ facilities are available as are public toilets which also had soap stocked. Also only 10 minutes from Palmerston which is just perfect.
  • The Howard Springs themselves are a bit obscure but a very great and relaxing area. Located just before the Park. There is a small pathway that leads there. Great spot.
  • Great little playground for the kids and an awesome pool to swim for the little ones.
  • Nice place to walk about
