  • Good park, the Mountain bike trails are decent, but not the most well maintained. I ride here often, but run the trails more than ride them. They make for great trail running and are just technical enough that you have to pay attention to your foot placement. Don't mess around and wear plenty of bug spray and bring extra with you. The Mozzies and Midges will eat you alive if you don't take precautions. The park also has some WWII storage bunkers spread throughout the park, most are closed, but one is open and staged with some historical info. There is also a decent "lookout" over the Darwin Skyline.
  • Remembers me of my late grandfather who once fought on World War 2. A place to be treasured for the next generation.
  • so many mozzies but great view of the city!
  • Pretty quiet place here away from the drunk indigenous. Many BBQs here. Coming here by car would be best. Small war feature on site. Great views of the Darwin city from the viewpoint.
  • its close to the city but no one goes there. take your bike and just go there. trust me its amazing.

Where to stay in Darwin

A small but distinctly cosmopolitan city, Darwin offers a surprisingly diverse range of lodgings, with most hotels located in or near the central business district. Despite this, finding a comfortable room during the peak May-to-September season can be extremely difficult, especially if you don't book ahead of your visit. If planning months in advance isn't an option, consider staying at a backpacker hostel or guesthouse outside the city center. Many of these smaller establishments offer access to free Wi-Fi and outdoor swimming pools.
