  • Went to Grants Picnic Ground with a view to do the Lyrebird Walk track. Started with the Margaret Lester Forest Walk, which was pleasant and easy, with butterflies playing and feeding on the plants in...  more »
  • It a good idea you can feed legally the birds. Although the Yellow crested Cockatoos are a bit scary when they sit on your shoulder.  more »
  • Big gums, birdlife, peaceful walking track, cafe and shop for variety. Not too keen on the buses of tourists feeding the wildlife though. Worth it if only for the gorgeous drive.  more »

  • Great staff, good food. But needs upgrade on the furniture. Menu needs altering from time to time, not just the same old thing, love the place to all the time.
  • Great place to kick off on a walk from. Don't go on a public holiday though...you'll have to park in Belgrave if you do.
  • Great place to go and get mobbed by birds and have a laugh, staff are friendly. Can get busy on weekends. Make sure you wear long sleeves or you will get clawed!!
  • Beautiful, relaxing area to do some hiking. Feed the sulphur-crested cockatoos and enjoy your coffee after that. Bird feeding area closes at 5pm. Just saying, because, when I was there, some tourists arrived after 5pm and missed it.
  • Excellent walks from the picnic area. Bird feeding is a bit dodgy but I guess tourists like that stuff. Good cafe and shop. Gets crazy busy on the weekends.
