As I am in the hospitality industry, I have always had a good opinion of Spring Vale wines. Today was no exception. My value in the vineyard I think is even better for the experience. We tried a red &... more »

Having visited more than 6 winemakers, this one made famous the good wine of Tasmania and is definitely one of the best on the Great Eastern Coast. First customers of the day, first impression, everything was in place and hospitality to the very warm tasting. The wines here are really excellent, the vendors are very good advice (available in french, Yes Sir explanation) and bottles are available for sale at the exceptional size of 375cl, perfect when traveling. Special note for gewurtz and Pinot noir which were divine.
Great wine, really friendly and staff who know their stuff. They also have a Gin available for tasting although this is not theirs. Well worth visiting and getting a few bottles to take home.
Excellent cellar door with good range of wines. The outdoors restaurant is must!
Love the Pinot Gris and the Melrose Pinot Noir. We had a relaxing lunch under the marquee with the wood fired oven overlooking the vineyards. Great to see a family owned business branching out in to new things like their gin! Friendly atmosphere and great food, would recommend.
Easily some of the best Vino in Tassie!!
Ok food. Disappointed to see a wood fired pizza oven but store bought bases used. More bistro/cafe than restaurant.
