Cradle Mountain, Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park

Must see · Forest · Mountain
One of Tasmania's most visited natural attractions and home to the famous Tasmanian devil, Cradle Mountain draws tourists with its beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife. The mountain is situated within a national park that encompasses rugged peaks, grasslands, alpine heaths, ancient rainforests, and glacial lakes. Start your hike to the summit from the Dove Lake early in the morning. The climb is long and can be difficult for inexperienced (or out of shape) tourists. When you reach the peak, your effort will be awarded with memorable views over Tasmanian wilderness. • Absolutely magnificent. I can't wait to go back to see the mountains under full snow. But the scenery during summer is amazing. Every where you walk is an explosion of nature at its best👍
  • Amazing
  • Came here for spring but was slapped so hard by the cold chills and snow. I couldn't take it at all when the wind blew. Hands were too cold but it was all fine as I was able to rub my hands for some heat despite turning numb. My feets were unprotected. Socks were soaked in cold melted ice. Please do remember to check your climate properly. Left the mountains and went down to the hiking area. Wow. No snow and so comfortable. Love!
  • This national park is one of the best ones I visited the lake and the mountains are very beautiful.
  • Amazing, breathtaking, stepping back to durasic Times . A must see for the family
