  • The best tasting rainbow trout I've had in Australia. Only planned on stopping for lunch, but ended up walking the property, a pleasant surprise and lunch was the bomb!
  • The owners were very helpful particularly the lady. For $120 we spend about 4 hours there fishing, we caught 3 beautiful rainbow trout, the man cleaned them for us and wrapped them in foil with garlic...  more »

  • Loved it!! Amazing place place to stay as mornings are magical on the farm! Feed the chickens, horses, cows, lama...and of course catch a trout! Great food, amazing hospitality. Can't wait to get back :)
  • Me and my partner decided to check this place out on our way back to Sydney and it was totally worth it. The staff were friendly and gave us a good laugh. We caught 2 trout and we can't wait to enjoy them for dinner tonight. Thank you for the great time and we can't wait to come back and see you again. :)
  • Lovely visit with the kids. Visited today, 4 adults, 2 six-year olds and a 3 year old all with very little fishing experience. The older boys managed not to scare the fish too much and we caught a trout from the ponds. Meanwhile the 3 year old loved wandering round the garden looking at the chickens and fish tanks. After a walk further round the grounds we collected our trout, now all ready to cook, and cooked it on the bar-b-q. It was delicious!
  • Me and my partner want to try out trout fishing for the weekend and that's what we got, after a few tips from the owner (Peter) we landed two fish from the lake within an hour. The Cafe help us prep the fish and bbq onsite, we ate our catch under a tree with a beer, hot chips and salad...it was fantastic!!! Karen also generously gave us an Alpaca sausage to try we recommend that to everyone (it reminds us a Moroccan dish we once had). After lunch we took a little walk around the property and saw a group of feeding Alpaca start running away as we approach, we think they know what we ate for lunch. Friendly, Fun and Surprising...well worth a visit.
  • Wow wow- as a young family it's not always easy to get away but the staff at Eucumbene Trout Farm were amazing and I can't recommend this family business more. My husband and three kids stayed two nights at the farm, we fished and bbqed our dinner and talked to all of the animals- the alpacas even greeted us every morning outside the cabin window, coming from Sydney this was just amazing. Thankyou Peter and Karen, nothing was to much trouble and you made our weekend away! We will be seeing you in winter!
