  • We were staying local whilst on holidays, so though we'd enquire about a round of golf. On driving into the club, there was nobody playing golf. we went into the pro shop to be greeted by a very rude ...  more »
  • Played a round at what was one of the best course layouts in Australia. Place is very quiet from its former glory days but still worth a visit. Very challenging course with loads of water.
  • So the resort here is effectively closed and feels like a ghost town but the course is still in reasonable condition (not sure if it will stay that way for long!) and it's a really good layout. I was ...  more »
  • Unloved run down too expensive
  • Today I played the Palmer Coolum Resort course and I must say I absolutely loved the course. I was a bit concerned due to the negative reviews I had seen and heard, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and standard of the course. Some of the fairways could've done with a hair cut, but they cant cut them every day. Having said that, they did have the mowers out today in preparation for the weekend. The greens were a little slow compared to what I am used to but they ran true. People need to understand how much it actually costs to keep a course to near tournament standard and I can say through several experiences playing tournament courses around Australia that these courses are only to tournament standard for the tournament it self. That includes Royal Melbourne! I will definitely be back to play again and I will be telling all my golfing friends how good it was. A very happy golfer who shot 79 off the stick
  • Slowly being run down as a resort. Money still seems to be spent but on Palmer"s eccentric collections.
  • It sucked horribly. I feel bad for Clive Palmer for making that horrible place. It was so bad it's going to give me nightmares about how bad it was!!😕
  • Palmersaurus was truly amazing, truly spectacular with more than 100 dinosaurs on display in motion. Also the Motorama was also nice with classic, vintage cars (Mercerdes, BMW, Pagani, Masserati...) in stock displayed which i don't know anywhere else i could find so many 1920 vintage cars on display. Truly a place not to miss out on if your in Coolum or the Sunshine Coast. Also Clive Palmer is hilarious but not intentionally just his fascination about Rupert Murdoch type "Clive Palmer" on youtube and you will see what i mean There were a few drawbacks though, the resort seemed understaffed and the gardening wasn't maintained nor the dinosaurs or golf course, no ticket people to check you at the gate so free entry it seemed, some of the buttons to activate the dinosaur actions weren't working and the restaurants were empty. Besides that it was decent.
