  • My in-laws came from overseas to see the opals. My father in-law is a geologist and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the noodling outside for scrap pieces of opal.

  • Nice mine. Good tour. Price is ok for the length of the tour. Good and interesting installations.
  • Worth a vist, see a few machines fire up. See a bit of opal. Do a bit of noodling.
  • Great place to experience, and explore how they live and mine opals. Interactive tour, our tour guide Ben was great, the kids had many questions, and all were answered very well. Well worth the visit
  • We had the best tour guide! She was the essence of Coober Pedy. She was warm and approachable, ultra-Australian, a little hungover but still had an excellent sense of humour. We heard a few bad luck opal mining stories that seem synonymous with Coober Pedy. We learnt of the techniques and saw the various machines used to dig out the underground tunnels. I would recommend this tour. It is informative, inexpensive, easy to find, and fascinating.
  • Worth a visit, great little tour and the kids will love it!
