Create an itinerary including Sea Cliff Bridge
The Sea Cliff Bridge, together with the adjoining Lawrence Hargrave Drive Bridge, are two road bridges that carry the scenic Lawrence Hargrave Drive across the rockface on the Illawarra escarpment, located in the northern Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. The balanced cantilever and incremental launching girder bridges link the coastal villages of Coalcliff and Clifton and carry two lanes of traffic, and a pedestrian walkway.

The Sea Cliff Bridge was named by Makenzie Russell, who at the time was an eleven-year-old student, following a naming competition opened to local primary school students. The Lawrence Hargrave Drive Bridge and the Lawrence Hargrave Drive are named in honour of Lawrence Hargrave, an Australian engineer, explorer, astronomer, inventor and aeronautical pioneer.

  • Don't bother. Unless you go perhaps at the crack of dawn. What should be one of the most wonderful scenic walks in the country is spoiled by by an almost constant conga line of loud and backfiring...

  • One of the finest look out near Sydney. Just less an hour drive, enjoyed the drive as well as scenes. We can go there, park our car and can go for a pleasant evening walk on the bridge. Just go for it
  • Oh, that was fantastic, no words! You simply cannot miss this place if you are in the area. Views are just majestic. Make sure you read online how to get to the lookout spot and most importantly, how to do it safely! At the lookout, there is an open edge and a 40 m cliff drop, no fence. So make sure you do not come close to the edge. The views are just as great a few metres away from the edge so stay well clear and safe! Always follow the designated footpath. Sadly, that place has a fatality history where a person slipped and plunged to their death... Young children are not recommended unless tethered to an adult! Some very kind person tied the ropes around the trees along the footpath that you can hold on to when going up and down, and placed signs and markings. Enjoy but do it safely!
  • This is,a great feat of engineering. A must see and walk. Terrific attraction for the, area. However information signs at both ends have past their used by date, unreadable, shame, and so.e hand railing due for some maintenance. But, don't miss it.
  • Really stunning route to take down the south coastline, whether you walk or drive it. Recommend coming here at least once to see it. There is also a secret “path” at the south end of the bridge near the sign, it is marked with a yellow stump, if you follow this path you will end up at a great viewing point that overlooks the entire bridge.
  • Been there! Beautiful and refreshing view of the ocean
