  • The walk was in our opinion not satisfactory. The tour guide was clearly not happy to be there and we felt we were a burden on him. There were at least 11 people on walk and it was rushed.. I won't bo...  more »
  • Taking into consideration that it is illegal to interfere with any animals in a national park, it came as a surprise for me that it what emergency the tourists that touched everything, but the guide. First of all, sending a group of people into the rainforest with a guide who is not able to leave the animals alone is highly unprofessional and send the wrong message to everyone who enters the rainforest. Second, as if disturbing the animals what not enough, even the tourists have been put at risk by taking this animals (which were venomous) and handing them over! This is more than just unprofessional and I have to admit that I of what further surprised by the reaction of the tour guide after he has been ask several times to please leave the animals alone, as Hey what insulting and threatening the tourists after that plea! I have never been more horrified and felt put at risk at any tour I have been on. Even walking through the rainforest by myself would have been a safer option! And here we go for my English speaking fellows: within a national park is considered illegal animals or nature to disturb it, for me, it was more than surprising that during this tour not the tourists were those, which continuously attempt to disturb the animals or to touch, but the tour guide himself. During this tour you will be sent after sunset with a guide in the rain forest to look at the creatures of the night, but this non-professional guide has touched each animal that greucht and crawls and passed around. Let's let the fact first and foremost, that the animals might be more care of us, but by the way these spiders and snakes which he has passed around there are poisonous! He was asked then please to let the animals, what has only stirred him up and motivated to do so on nastiest way to ranting - the whole remaining tour! I've never felt so insecure and also at risk in my life like during this tour! At best it would have been, I would be walking alone in the rain forest, since I would have been safe!

  • A great experience: the rainforest at night! We were picked up on time and then it was two hours by the Unterholz.Festes footwear is recommended, because the least time is traveling on paved roads and it can be too wet, passes through a small stream. With strong flashlights, we were prompted equipped and specifically to shine to discover animals or other interesting themselves in the bushes and upwards into the trees. A very special experience was to consider only the lush vegetation in the glow of the lamps. There were numerous animals: spiders, stick insects, mantids, but also frogs and to conclude even a rare tree kangaroo. The feeling not to have seen a lot of animals that saw us perfect, was odd. Overall, it was a beautiful and informative evening with many interesting aspects of the oldest rainforest on Earth. We can only recommend the Nightwalk for all those who want to experience nature not only as spectacle and have a look for so-called trivia. He is very worth its price.
