Daintree National Park, Cape Tribulation

(4.8/5 based on 550 reviews on the web)
Australia’s most scenic coastal road of Daintree National Park takes you along unspoiled white sandy beaches lined with rainforest. Go on a guided rainforest walk, where see prolific birdlife and rare species of Australian wildlife, including cassowaries and crocodiles. It is precisely due to its biodiversity that Daintree National Park is heritage listed. At these wet tropics, also discover a historical landmark: a spot where Captain Cook, the discoverer of Australia, beached his ship. Put Daintree National Park on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Cape Tribulation itinerary maker.

  • We visited this park in a day of torrential rain, which made us appreciate it even more. It was like being in another time, surrounded by these amazing plants, with rain falling on leaves giants, copper-colored streams, in the fog of Cape Tribulation. That unforgettable experience!

  • We took a daytrips from cairns to cape tribulation, the time was too short we should stay there longer. There so many nice trails and beaches. We will come back.
  • We went to Cairns (one of the stops on our wedding travel) primarily to visit the reef but we were pleasantly surprised by the excursion to the Daintree national park. Between the Daintree Rainforest, boat trip in search of local wildlife (we've seen all colors starting with the crocodiles) and visit to Cape Tribulation can say without doubt that the Daintree NP is a gem that encompasses everything that us poor Europeans dream thinking about Australia. Just a dream day.

  • Amazing place to visit. Wildlife is absolutely awesome in the hot wet season if you can stand the heat and rain. Otherwise it's still good at other times of the year. And more pleasant temperatures.
  • Beautiful national park and easy to access by car. If you don't have a car consider one of the many tours or renting a car in cairns.
  • Absolutely amazing unspoiled beaches, nature, and forest! Just beware of crocodiles! I don't recommend swimming.
  • One of the best national parks in Australia. Beautiful rainforests, amazing beaches (be careful of the crocs). I've travelled the entire east coast and this is the best it has to offer nature-wise. Make sure to go on a river cruise on the Daintree river to spot the crocs.
  • Very nice national park, can spot crocadiles along the river, some great views and a great day out. Would highly reccomend
