  • A few km from Portland we find Cape Bridgewater. Left the beach on the left a path on the coast of 2.8 km that takes you right on the promontory where from 100 meters high on the ocean you can see two seal colonies. What a thrill it would feel like to see seals from those heights, I leave it to your sensibility. Continuing on the path for another 5 km you arrive at the petrified forest. We prefer to return to the starting point and get there by car. The spectacle is assured! Shame the background with wind turbines. Manifests itself as opposed to the past. For lovers of hiking the distance mentioned above falls within the Great South West Walk. 250 km around Portland.
