  • The view here was good, however there are free lookouts that offer views just as good. The cyclists of the way up and down the hill also pose a hazard to unwary drivers.
  • The tower certainly gives you the best views of Canberra both inside and out. Make sure you go on a good weather day i.e. sunny to make the most of the views and photographs.
  • The Tower gives you great 360 views of Canberra and on a clear day you can see for many Kilometers. A great place to visit. A must visit if you're in the area!
  • Canberra icon, every time I drive back from other states , I feel like home when I saw it. Visiting it is nice, but I'm not sure if you would come back a second time. The open balcony is only open when there's no strong wind, so check the weather before coming :)
  • It's a Canberra icon, how do you miss a nearly 200 metre tall tower sticking out the top of Black Mountain? Plenty of parking if you go when it's quiet, or any time really. The place is fairly easy to reach but the road up is rife with joggers, walkers and cyclists trying to 'conquer the mountain' so make sure you watch out for them. Getting in is easy, make sure you check out the excellent model in the foyer and the information centre down stairs. Once you decide to take the lift up it's easy - though a little expensive - to get up. Once you're in the viewing platform you can check it all out, walking around to get a view of Belconnen, Civic, Woden and the Parliamentary Triangle and you can even glimpse Queanbeyan off in the distance. Squint a bit and you can sometimes see a plane landing at the airport. When you're through walking around inside, head outside for a colder (it's windy and freezing even in summer) and clearer view without that pesky safety glass in between you and certain death. Instead it's replaced with concrete and metal barriers. Inside the viewing area, is a welcome café to have a coffee and something to eat at to warm up. Overall, a little expensive, but worth the trip up to check it out.
  • Awesome view!! Great place to take pictures but it may be too windy and cold
  • Great views through clean windows. It's not as expensive as other towers with viewing platforms. It's great to be able to go to an open air level for photos. The cafe doesn't charge a premium either.
  • It's a good place to start our end your first visit to Canberra. Make sure you go to the open area at the top, cold!
