  • The National Zoo and Aquarium is an absolute gem in Canberra, particularly if you have kids. They've got some really great stuff going on. Sure, it might not be as fancy/flash as the zoo/aquarium in Sydney and Melbourne but it's still really enjoyable. My wife and I both bought a membership there because our daughter loves it so much. You only need to go there 3 times in one year and it's already paid for itself.
  • Amazing beyond words. Paid extra for the family tour and was so pleased with the level of interaction with animals. Our guide (Anna?) was lovely and knowledgeable, took her time and put her heart into it. The animals are so happy and active compared to Taronga, none of the animals were hiding or hard to spot, could hear the Lions roaring all around the park. Next trip will be staying in the on site accommodation.
  • Overall an okay experience. The Aquarium was run down, smelly and lacked signage on what was in the tanks. The rest of the zoo was okay but many exhibits were closed for 'refurbishment'. The friendly monkeys and the too cute penguins made the trip worthwhile. Worth visiting once.
  • The service, attention to detail, the interaction with the animals, the food and the magnificently appointed suites were second to none. I loved every moment of my visit and can't wait to go back again.
  • Can't get enough of this place, the newly opened area is a must. Well done to all of the staff & owners. Check out Jamala Lodge Accommodation while there, you will not be disappointed.
