  • This was the second time our child attended the vacation program. It was requested after a fantastic first time experience. Lots of fun. Animal facts, aquarium, art, craft, fun filled days.  more »
  • Disappointing visit. Many enclosures empty or certainly appeared so. Not sure I'd bother to ever go again by choice. Little kids might like it but older kids were pretty bored generally. Staff, especi...  more »

  • Simply magnificent! Jamala is beautifully appointed, staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable. The work being done at the Zoo to help preserve endangered wildlife and educate people while caring for the animals is becoming more and more important as humans destroy their natural habitats. A great experience!
  • Stayed at Jamala Lodge, first class - the staff are brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable, the accommodation is very well thought out and quite luxurious. The food is amazing, being a vegetarian my dinner was delicious and you certainly dont go hungry. What an amazing experience to be able to be in such close proximity to such beautiful creatures, we were very fortunate to have two gorgeous sun bears sleeping right outside our window. Well worth it.
  • The ring-tailed lemurs are sooooo cute. A great place to bring the family. Memberships are great value. A great place to experience foreign animals.
  • Wow, blew me away, way better than expected. Got so close to the animals, well kept and lots of variety including African and Australian creatures. Ok cafe and good gift shop.
  • My favourite place in Canberra! It's on the small side, but it's really manageable to do a full circuit in a reasonable amount of time because of that. And you can get fairly close to many of the animals, which really adds to the experience!
