  • We were lucky enough to be there when Floriade was on in the park. The gardens were covered in beautiful flowers and sculptures. Plenty to see, do and eat here and it's free!!
  • Pretty much a must do if you are visiting Canberra. Lots of community events are held here around Stage 88 such as Floriade (big flower display garden every year in Sep/Oct). There is a information centre, parks, gardens, cafe, and the Captain Cook Fountain in the lake (google for running times). As you are pretty much in one corner of the parliamentary triangle, it is a really nice walk (or ride) around Lake Burley Griffin crossing at Commonwealth Ave bridge and Kings Ave bridge. It's a 5km loop past many of the major national sights - National Library, Art Gallery, views of Parliament House and the War Memorial.
  • Offers savings on some items and is an alternative to Woolies and Coles.
  • Fantastic area to enjoy the day. Especially when the weather is on point
  • Awesome park, you can take a walk around the lake or just have a look at the place. Lots of place to play games and relax. You will always be able to find a free spot.
  • A great place to visit for a day picnic. A must visit if you're in the area
