  • The whole area is good for families with the Fig Tree Play Ground, Cruise Ship Terminal, gardens, lawns, extensive hardwood decks and views across Trinity Inlet to numerous mountains. Our 6-year-old daughter alternated between playing in the Fig Tree Treehouse and riding around it on her Razor scooter. The town centre is 300 metres away and has plenty of food and drink choices for an easy picnic lunch. The Wharf One Cafe offers a more up tempo space. It allows adults to chat for hours and watch the kids playing.
  • Pretty much perfect for kids and parents. Tunnels, beautiful timber walkways and decks, climbing nets, secret passages - all set within a massive fig tree on the Esplanade. Shady places for parents to sit and keep an eye on little ones. A stone's throw from the CBD and major hotels like Hilton, Pullman Cairns International, Pullman Reef Hotel, Jack and Newell Apartments, Piermonde Apartments and Park Regis (to name a handful). Even better, it is set right next to Wharf One Cafe to keep everyone energised!
  • Good playground for independent players. Some of the low boughs can be a little hazardous to adults.
  • A great play area for children that doesn't rely on the standard playground equipment of a slide and some swings.
  • Great old school play area for the kids, they can ever climb the trees! Right next to wharf one too.
