Cairns Night Markets, Cairns
(2.3/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Stay up late at Cairns Night Markets, popular with tourists from around the world. Open late each night of the week, these markets are a collection of stalls catering mainly to foreign travelers, with vendors selling clothes, handmade crafts, souvenirs, food, beverages, and jewelry. Inspired by similar markets found all around East Asia, Cairns’ night markets were created as a convenient way for local merchants to satisfy the growing tourist demand for inexpensive but well-made local products. Today, you can visit over 130 stalls at a pleasantly air-conditioned shopping center, located on the city’s popular Esplanade. A visit to Cairns Night Markets represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Cairns travel itinerary maker to plot your vacation.

  • Cheapest place for great massages . Ask for Yota he is brilliant. Easy to return to every day as it is so cheap. The stalls are ok the food is cheap and all round has a fun feel to the night market
  • Great place to visit if you are going to Cairns. There is a lot of tourist type gifts to get not just for international travellers but also Australians. A lot to see. Worth checking out and is indoors.
  • Smallish food court with a reasonable choice of foods but most food vendors have a big overlap in what they sell so the overally variety is limited. Food is slightly overpriced in my opinion but better value than most cafe's/restaurants in the local area. Quality of food was great - typical asian style "fill your own plate", food was fresh and tasted good.
  • Lovely place, good for souvenirs (cheaper than other stores) and they have there great churittos just on the left from entrance. Nutella one highly recommend!
  • It's a standard market, it's got standard asian cuisine. You pay x amount for a tub, then fill it up with food from a bain marie. Good economical solution to fill yer belly. Not fancy.
