Cairns Dive Centre offer participants a chance to see the world's largest coral reef system, the Great Barrier Reef, from above and below the surface of the water. The boats used for the trips offer basic accommodations but are well maintained and comfortable. The crew is knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly and can take you to the best diving spots on the reef, in waters abounding with a variety of marine life. After diving, enjoy a cold drink and a hot meal as the sun sets over the reef, or drop by for a night dive and a rare chance to see some of the ocean's shyest creatures. Where to stay in Cairns

Though Cairns seems to offer an endless selection of cozy rooms, most budget-friendly options remain fully booked through the high season, stretching from June to September. Reserve early if you want a hotel room packed with amenities, or look for alternative lodgings in the city's smaller inns. As the backpacker capital of northern Queensland, Cairns features dozens of economical hostels providing comfortable beds and free Wi-Fi. For something far more luxurious, look for centrally located rental apartments with spacious rooms and harbor views.

  • We had a great time. It was a last minute booking with no research and it was worth it. Don't expect to take a long shower with high water pressure. What they could have done better was have the store open on our return. We were dropped at the front door to the shop to find our way to the airport.
  • We only took this boat to be dropped at Fitzroy Island as diving was badly reviewed online so we chose a different company for another day. As per the webpage the boat will pick us up from the island to get back at 4.30 pm. When we booked over the phone they also told us we would be picked up at 4.30. Our surprise is when we get to the island and they say they will pick us up at 3pm. We tried to talk to the girl that was in charge of the boat, very rudely told us that if we were not there at 2.55 they will leave without us and we can pay for another ferry if we wanted to. When we tried to explain that we had been told something different she didn't care knowing her power of bargain. A person with that attitude should not be working with clients as she obviously showed no interest in helping or even listening. She obviously was very nice when requesting payments. I am also glad we didn't do the diving with this company as on the way back, I talked to another person that had been diving with them all day and was complaining about the lack of quality of the organisation. Comparing our experience and having been in two boats in the last two days, you better choose a different company even if paying a bit more as certainly this one is not even good to be dropped and picked up at an island.
  • Had a great time on the liveaboard, and the crew are a friendly bunch ever ready to invite you for a night out after.
  • The 3 day/2 night liveaboard was super fun. Had a wonderful time snorkelling, lots of time in the water at different sites, an amazing variety of fish, corals and more, friendly and helpful crew, plenty of great food cooked by the chef Jamie. Basic but comfortable boat and accommodation. A great value no-frills memorable experience - highly recommended.
  • VERY BAD. worked there as a volley in the beggining of 2017 and had the worst experience. the dive master, manager and vouluntere manager vialeted our contract and lied to us several times. hope their lying habites will not cause a life thretning situation the future.
