  • We visited this distillery as part of a half day trip to the surrounding areas. The building is interesting, the view very nice and the products available to taste are good, if you enjoy a drink. They...  more »

  • Although I'm a lover of whiskys my wife isn't, so she was a bit unsure about our visit. She needn't have worried, the view from the cafe was well worth the short trip from Burnie and the food was grea...  more »

  • Another fabulous place to eat and sample their famous whiskey creams in 3 flavours plus their in house vodka's, menu items change regularly but you always find something you like and it will eventually make it back around to the menu if its not their when you go, food is amazing and reasonably priced plus a gift shop is on hand for all your whiskey purchases plus they sell aprons with their logo on and ever so yummy whiskey cream fudge and glassware etc, go and have a look you won't be disappointed.
  • Wanted to have lunch as a single. Seemed happy to accomodate couples before me with no booking. Not me though...disappointed.
  • Excellent restaraunt, tasting staff need more training as we had a large group but the staff member was new and unsure.
  • Although it's fairly short, I'd recommend doing the tour. The food is also great at the restaurant but it can get very busy so I would suggest booking ahead.
  • Hellyer's Road were very accommodating of us during our visit. We had not made a lunch reservation and arrived to a full house. The staff, in particular Bianca, were able to find us a table and we were very happy with the quality of the food and level of service. The whiskey walk was insightful and entertaining. Bianca was able to answer all of our many questions with good humour and we tasted some cask strength original and peat whiskey. The exclusive bottle of whiskey available for purchase on the tour almost didn't make the trip back to Sydney! A great day and well worth the scenic drive from Launceston.
