Trip Planner: South Pacific / Australia / Queensland / Gold Coast / Burleigh Heads / Burleigh Heads Beach
Sheltered from strong winds, the northeast-facing Burleigh Heads Beach is considered the Gold Coast's premier spot for swimming, body boarding, and surfing. The beach is home to hundreds of native birds and is lined by Norfolk Island Pines, which are reputably the oldest planted trees on this coast. The beach offers a wide strip of white sand where you can spend the day relaxing in the sun as well as several green areas often used by locals for weekend games of cricket. This area is rarely crowded and has lifeguards on duty every day. Nearby is a small village, which includes several cafes and shops. Burleigh Heads Beach is simply amazing. From the top of Burleight Hill you can see a beautiful picture of what the Gold Coast is. Nice place to enjoy the day woth family and friends. I would always recommend such good places to enjoy the life like the beautil Burleigh Heads. Make sure you get there early so you can grab the best spots to spend the day on the stunning view.
Always seeing something with new eyes
This beach is beautiful. If you come to gold coast you MUST drop in to burleigh. There are nice shops, good quality food and amazing cafes near the beach too!
There is a great vibe about the beach and the surrounding area that make it quite different to most other parts of the gold coast. It's very popular, and can get crowded in the height of summer, but everyone is always in a good mood. Parking can be tricky (although there is quite a lot of it). Lots of buses run through here though, and bikes are a popular option. It is an excellent beach for swimming.
Clean, safe beach.
