4.6/5 based on 1,500+ reviews on the web
Come see one of Australia's most beautiful stretches of sand at Cable Beach. Taking its name from the undersea telegraph cable that stretches from here to Java, the wide beach offers 22.5 km (14 mi) of white sand that tides clean on a daily basis. Spend the day relaxing beneath the tropical sun and ride a camel at sunset along the perfectly flat beach. You can rent an umbrella for shade. Be careful of box jellyfish if you visit from November through March. Use our Broome trip itinerary builder to add Cable Beach and other attractions to your Broome vacation plans.

  • Beautiful beach with grassed area above with cafe/restaurant there. Beach was beautiful and bucket list ticked to say we have seen a sunset at cable beach.
  • it was about 32 degrees when we visited, not many people, not much wind, plenty of free parking and a nice grass area up top, quite a few quality restaurants very close by
  • This is a great place to see the sunset and ride camels. You can take a picnic and watch and enjoy the sunsets.
