Cable Beach, Broome

4.6
Come see one of Australia's most beautiful stretches of sand at Cable Beach. Taking its name from the undersea telegraph cable that stretches from here to Java, the wide beach offers 22.5 km (14 mi) of white sand that tides clean on a daily basis. Spend the day relaxing beneath the tropical sun and ride a camel at sunset along the perfectly flat beach. You can rent an umbrella for shade. Be careful of box jellyfish if you visit from November through March. Put Cable Beach at the forefront of your travel plans using our Broome trip site .

  • One of the my favourite spots to spend the evening. The sunsets here are out of this world! A must visit if you are in the Kimberley region of WA.
  • Amazing beach. Definitely recommend going at sunset where you get to see the sun sink into the sea, and also get to see the Camel Trains go past - great opportunity for a photo, but only if you are quick!
  • A most beautiful beach with perfect turquoise water
