Cable Beach, Broome

(4.6/5 based on 1,700+ reviews on the web)
Come see one of Australia's most beautiful stretches of sand at Cable Beach. Taking its name from the undersea telegraph cable that stretches from here to Java, the wide beach offers 22.5 km (14 mi) of white sand that tides clean on a daily basis. Spend the day relaxing beneath the tropical sun and ride a camel at sunset along the perfectly flat beach. You can rent an umbrella for shade. Be careful of box jellyfish if you visit from November through March. Use our Broome trip itinerary builder to add Cable Beach and other attractions to your Broome vacation plans.

  • Perfect way to spend an afternoon, beach combing while watching the sun go down. Rock hopping is possible, if you check the tides you may even see dinosaur footprints if it's low enough.  more »
  • Great beach just remember the mozzie repellant... it's a perfect beach for walking and 4wd are allowed on beach..  more »
  • We chose this place because he advertises on the prospectus with an Internet connection. Wrong Info! We had to check our emails daily away. Place in and of itself: beautiful pool and sanitary facilities, camp kitchen, however, is totally unsanitary and dirty. Has been cleaned but our complaint there. Drunk, night ruhestoerende guests were tolerated for days. Unintelligible...
