Bronte Beach, Bronte

4.6
#1 of 15 in Things to do in Waverley
Nestled between the more famous Bondi and Coogee beaches, Bronte Beach offers a relaxed, less-crowded atmosphere for enjoying time at the shore. Energetic waves attract surfers, but you can bathe in Bogey Hole at the beach's southern end if you prefer calmer water. Stretch out on the clean sand and take a dip in the 30 m (100 ft) pool formed by enclosing a section of ocean with a concrete barrier. A paved footpath on the rocky cliff tops overhead leads to Bondi Beach to the north and Coogee Beach to the south. An adjoining park provides barbecues for grilling your own food. • Forget the hype that is called Bondi. Just a little down south you'll find Bronte beach, a nice beach with a wonderful oceanpool and a secluded area tto swim when the surf is too rough. In the weekend...  more »
  • Huge parklands area with ample tables, shelters with amenities. Transport services close. Very popular and family friendly location.  more »
  • Visited on every case this beach if you walk the coastal has made. The beach although smaller than Bondi is very nice. It is well maintained and clean. The bathrooms are also well maintained. The beach is good for swimming and surfing. Also by tourists not so well known as Bondi Beach but my favorite. Smaller such as the Bondi Beach, but is not a problem because this beach has it all. BBQ rock pool, ocean views, bathroom, shower and Cafés. The next advantage is you do not pay the pools here.

  • Great little cafe's and beautiful beach. Good parking but can be limited during busy days. Take the walk along the cliffs if you have time as it's well worth it for the views
  • Do yourself a favour and get there for sunrise. The walk to Bondi along the coast was the most memorable decision I made during this holiday. Outstanding.
  • One of my favourite Sydney beaches. I prefer the Rockpool though because at the beach part it gets lots of rips so very dangerous
  • Bronte beach is nice and confortable beach because it has short numbers of lifesavers everyone must swim one single spot so hundreds people try to have good time swimming but they can not. Other part of beach is empty. It very sad.situation.
  • Great beach and surrounding cafes Great place to sit and talk with that special someone in your life.
