Story Bridge, Brisbane
(4.2/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Scale the top of Brisbane's iconic Story Bridge to enjoy 360-degree views of the city, mountain ranges, and Moreton Bay Islands at dawn, afternoon, or night. These climbing adventures are available daily. The tour guides, who are expert climbers, explain the route and monitor safety. Necessary equipment (including sunscreen, sunglasses, rain-resistant jackets, and hats) is provided. For visitors preferring to stay close to the ground, there are riverside walks nearby. These are especially popular at dusk, when the bridge is illuminated with purple lighting all around its edges. The bridge, which opened in 1940, is listed on the Queensland Heritage Register. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Brisbane holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Story Bridge and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • You can walk under around and over this bridge. I like the parklands walks under it with the coffee shops and under cliff views. The bridge climb is not quite Sydney Harbour but good enough. Great mon...  more »
  • Wandering around the river pathway taking photos. A beautiful area with parkland for people to enjoy.
  • I've gone to walk this bridge with spectacular views of the city. At night has its best when lit up, but also during the day has its because.

  • Room was nice but a bit pricey. Great location. Carpark was a bit tight. Staff were friendly. Can be a bit noisy from the pub across the road at night.
  • The apartment was very clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. Good location too. It was very noisy inside and out though. We had a two bedroom apartment but only one wall mounted hairdryer. It would have been nice to have a hairdryer in each bathroom.
  • Excellant position, if travelling north by car Clem 7 Tunnel is very close by, thus avoiding all the traffic. Story Bridge Hotel just across the street, beautiful deli also across the street. Nearby access to the City Cat. Staff could not have been more helpful. Will definately stay here again.
  • Booked a Serviced apartment for my parents coming to visit for 2 weeks ! All we needed was there, really clean, amazing staff, close to shops and restaurants, perfect location for walks or run in the evening and just few meter away from the City Hopper stops (free ferry) ! My parents just loved the beds (mum usually gets back pain but not there). Would definitely stay there again ! Thanks Quest on Story Bridge :)
  • Nice views.
