Where to stay in Brisbane

Popular with tourists and business travelers, Brisbane's lodgings range from luxurious rental apartments with private pools and city views, to economical hostels just minutes from the main attractions in South Bank and the central business district. To soak up some local flavor at an affordable price, consider the city's inner suburbs. Located just north of the CBD, Spring Hill offers quiet accommodations within striking distance of the lively downtown areas. If you want to explore the city's famous nightlife scene, consider neighborhoods like Fortitude Valley or New Farm.

  • Peaceful place for a little walk; lots of wildlife to look at and only a relatively short drive from the city. I'd strongly recommend mosquito repellant though, lots of mosquitoes and other things that cause itchy bites.
  • Fantastic! Perfect spot for a picnic and walk. Wheelchair/pram suitable.
  • Beautiful place for walks and families barbecues. As well for dogs and kids to play!
  • Nice place to take the dog at low tide. Park is over run with green ants so I don't enjoy going there for picnics. Park is clean and tidy though.
  • A lovely place to go with your dog or for a bbq and parks for kids to play in, a great place to relax.
