  • This is quite a large building. However, for the size, there seems little area that actually has art displays. There have been some interesting items in the main foyer. Can't say that modern art is my...  more »
  • Entry was free and attendant staff very willing to assist as you enter. Not a lot of art works on the day we were there butwell set out and modern building. Hoped to have seen more art.
  • Calming spaces and excellent cafè and gift shops. Look out for handmade market stalls at the rear of the building and see if you can spy the cheeky water dragons wading in the water feature outside.

  • Sensational morning wandering through the gallery. A wide range of art. From Jomon era (2500BC) Japanese ceramics, to more contemporary works by some masters. Very impressive indigenous art collection from Australia/New Guinea.
  • Nice gallery, love the use of water and sculptures throughout. Unfortunately the Australian exhibits were closed when I was there.
  • Nice little niche art collection. May not be at the scale of National Gallery of Victoria, but the overall design in terms of layout, spacing and decoration speaks of confidence and dedication in the local and regional art scene.
  • Brilliant space. This whole are has grown into its modernist skin as a building as the years have rolled on. Worth a visit. Love the water inside and out.
  • What a great space. Similar to GOMA beautiful architecture and a robust collection. It is worth having a wander around there for the space itself. The green space around it is a nice place to meet up with a friend. Highly recommend it if you are in Brisbane.
