Trip Planner: South Pacific / Australia / New South Wales / Greater Sydney / Bondi / Bondi to Coogee Walk
Surrounded by stunning scenery, the popular Bondi to Coogee Walk follows a clifftop trail for 6 km (3.7 mi). You'll encounter wide golden-sand beaches, green parks, tide pools, and vistas of blue ocean waves dramatically crashing into craggy rock faces. The medium-grade walk passes Tamarama, Bronte, Coogee, and Maroubra beaches, all of which have free electric barbecues. Tamarama is a trendy beach, and Bronte suits families. Mackenzie's Point serves up superb waves for surfing. Along the way, you can stop to relax on the beach, snorkel Clovelly Beach, or admire the view from one of the world's most beautiful final resting places, Waverley Cemetery. Bondi to Coogee Walk Reviews
If I’m honest it was a bit further than I thought, there were a few tricky steps here and but oh my god....... the beaches you pass, the awesome sea views, the stunning scenery..... if I hadn’t done..... more »
Lovely walk along beaches and sandstone formations. 7 miles round trip according to my Fitbit. Had a chance to see a Bondi rescue. more »
Simply a MUST! Great scenery and wonderful walk with so many great photo opportunities. Don’t miss it while in Sydney! more »
A beautiful coastal walk, taking in lots of lovely, unspoiled beaches and coves en route. Very well signposted with well-maintained boardwalk over a good proportion of the route. Many of the stopping points have public toilets. From Hotel Ravesis (at the centre of Bondi Beach) to The Pavilion (at Coogee Beach) was 6.19km. Lots of steps/slopes - but easily achievable if you’re reasonably fit. Waverley Cemetery is stunning; fascinating and moving in equal measure. This walk is well worth the effort!
Its an amazing coastal walk by the sea. Also, when we went for walk, there was event going on called 'sculptures by the sea'. Those sculptures were beautiful. And the walk... Its breath taking. When u walk and walk and walk.... U have a big blue ocean on side. The ocean breeze never lets u get tired. Its around 5km walk but i didnt find it tiring at all. In fact i felt like sitting their for my whole life and capturing that big ocean view in my soul... N never go back home...😍😍😍😍
Lovely walk along the coast. Took us a casual 2 hours. Worth stopping to dip your feet at different beaches. Wear sunscreen and take a refillable bottle of water. There are stations to fill up as you go, although more are closer to bondi.
Very nice walk that is good for all levels and ages. Beautiful scenery with plenty of points to stop. A few places to refill your water bottle. There is also a small beach near Tamarama Beach that is dog friendly. Only downside that it is only good for walking pedestrians (no prams, wheelchairs or cyclists). There is a seperate cycle path nearby though.
A magnificent escape from Sydney that becomes more appreciated as each year goes by. Go back 20 years and it was a sleepy track with nary a soul on it on most days. Weekends will see thousands on it from idle walkers to spandex clad zealots feeling the burn.
