This is a very cute cafe, with an antique shop inside. The coffee is nice, and the atmosphere is very old world, it feels like you could find a treasure any moment! The accessibility is, unfortunately, not great, so if you have mobility issues it will be difficult to easily get around the narrow corridors and stairs. Other than that, though, it is a beautiful place to visit, and there are chairs you can sit down on even in the antique section.
In a beautiful old theatre there is a lot to see here. It's arranged as quite a number of individually owned stores but you don't really have to know that, you just pay at the front and deal with the lovely people there as if it was all one. Don't forget to look upstairs as well and you can get a decent coffee and a bite at the cafe at the entrance.
The range of stock here is impressive, stronger in bric-a-brac than antiques but there's little outright junk, it's generally reasonably priced. If you're a tourist and you want to look at some australiana you won't be disappointed. The staff are only okay. The owner is a bit crabby and odd, his son is much better and more personable.
Wonderful and helpful staff. Very reasonable pricing and an all around great customer experience.
I've been there in a winter morning, there wasn't so much people. Maybe it wasn't so hot inside, but the food was good and the place nice. A little bit expensive for a european, but it does worth it. They have no Wi-fi.
