Lake Weeroona, a large ornamental lake adjacent to the Bendigo Botanical Gardens, is one of the area’s most popular tourist destinations. The lake's surroundings are home to many native species, including bush-tailed and ring-tailed possums, ducks, swans, coots, purple swamp hens, owls, and microbats. You can cycle or take leisurely walks on the paved paths around the lake, or spend the day picnicking on the grass. There are several playground areas near the water. Near the lake, you can also visit the renowned Bendigo Bank Tennis Complex, one of the largest such venues in the Southern Hemisphere.   • Great menu, great service. We had a Sunday breakfast outside on a beautiful day hard to beat. Good food delivered in a timely fashion.

  • Beautiful place to just pitch up and relax for a few hours - especially if you've been on the road for hours! Great cafe's surrounding the area too when in need of a little grub & caffeine!
