  • Great place to take the family! Last time the kiddies had a go at the pottery wheel and love it! Excellent demonstrators! We always buy a hunk of clay each (including myself) and make various goodies and stuff. Excellent dose of history in the place and the antique joint is well worth a sticky!
  • A Bendigo icon. Unique pottery gifts. Allow a couple of hours to wander around and have a coffee in cafe
  • Been coming here since growing up in Bendigo. The pottery class is a must for everyone! However, my last class was a bit of a let down. After receiving my products in the mail, I found the glazing was missing in a few areas here and there, essentially making any practical usage useless. Still, the pottery is amazing and I love coming back anytime I can. There's also an antique store nearby that'll have something for everyone. I'd love to see some products that are garden orientated in the future. I'm using a bowl with a hole drilled through the bottom as a bonsai pot and it's fantastic! Staff are friendly and are love to have a chat with during off-peak times.
  • Great to see the old kilns have been preserved. The on site antique stalls and art galleries are worth a look.
  • A lot of history. Great products and even a cup of coffee. And also a mill market.

Where to stay in Bendigo

Just like the city itself, places to stay in Bendigo present a mix of historical and modern. The center of the city boasts a selection of hotels and apartments housed in Victorian mansions--which also happen to be some of Bendigo's main tourist attractions. Just a couple of blocks away, however, you can choose from a number of 21st-century establishments. For a more peaceful setting, venture outside the city center to find plenty of smaller bed and breakfasts and motels, as well as fully equipped RV parks and campsites.
