  • Probably the best guide I've ever come across. Very knowledgeably & friendly. Well worth a visit if nearby.
  • Really recommend a visit to this small, beautifully maintained place of Chinese worship since the 1860's. Excellent knowledgeable guide (thanks Mikelle). Take the Talking Tram from Bendigo city (brief and enjoyable ride) to gain a better understanding of early and current Chinese life and culture. Bob. 1 March 2017.

Where to stay in Bendigo

Just like the city itself, places to stay in Bendigo present a mix of historical and modern. The center of the city boasts a selection of hotels and apartments housed in Victorian mansions--which also happen to be some of Bendigo's main tourist attractions. Just a couple of blocks away, however, you can choose from a number of 21st-century establishments. For a more peaceful setting, venture outside the city center to find plenty of smaller bed and breakfasts and motels, as well as fully equipped RV parks and campsites.
