  • My wife and I enjoyed an entertaining time with a guided tour (our guides name was Dale who was very knowledgeable and a great ambassador of the gallery). Very insightful and some stunning art pieces. The building it is situated in is a beautiful home to the collection. Lots of history and a must see for tourists and locals alike. Entry is by a donation and the guided tours are at 11am and 2pm each day. Thoroughly recommended and full respect to the Shire of Bendigo for creating this gem of a gallery. You won't regret the visit, I can assure you of that.
  • Fantastic Exhibition enjoyed my second visit to Edith Head in Hollywood as much..or more than my first Had a light lunch at the Gallery Restaurant. .delicious food in busy but pleasant surroundings. Wait Staff did an excellent job of coping with a large number of customers . ...as did the chefs A great place to go..always something interesting to see and I love to revisit my favourite paintings each time I go back All staff polite and helpful and friendly..very nice
  • About 2 hours from Melbourne but worth the drive for their exhibitions, currently Marimekko. Check for dates. Location on the hill is beautiful. The collections are displayed in large, accessible rooms.
  • This is a splendid regional gallery with a lively exhibition program, especially for lovers of textiles and fashion. We saw the Marimekko exhibition, and it was gorgeous. We did notice that some signs in the exhibition referenced works that we couldn’t find. I actually had to look one up on my phone, then find it in the display.
  • They have an exhibition of some really quite terrible examples of modern art, which are apparently very difficult to make but not at all uplifting or inspiring. The other exhibits are excellent and it's great to know that you can view such wonderful examples so close to Melbourne. And only a gold coin donation.
