This was a birthday gift. We got three different packages and I had a voucher, so we could shoot four different guns. The Magnum .357 was great, but also the semi automatic. Will go again. more »
The staff are rude, and quite frankly, atrocious at their job. No customer service skills; refused to help us in any way. Extremely rude attitude towards us for no reason. In addition it's overpriced ... more »
Great place to fire up some guns. Not much selection of firearms, quiet expensive for someone who doesn't do things like that often, but definitely great fun. Staff are nice and guns are well maintained. I fired Browning High-Power 9mm pistol and .357 Magnum bolt action rifle. Great experience for anyone, really. I definitely recommend.
Second time visiting this shooting range. The first time was a lot better (about 2 years ago) . Firstly the lady on the front counter with dark long hair was very rude, didn't seem that interested in what we had to say. Just wanted our licence and money. Once we told her which firearms we would like she gave us the price and took my card, the price online was cheaper and when we mention this to her, her response was 'that was the old price'. surely this price should of been honoured as it's there fault for not updating there website? I'm not looking for superb customer service when I go out and spend $200+ somewhere, but some eye contact and a smile would of been nice. After that I lost my excitement, luckily, then chap inside was lovely and very attentive and walked me through how to use each firearm and answered any questions I had. It's a shame the lady is on the reception, being first point of contact, maybe she should be in the back updating the website..
This is, as far as I know, the only real range around Perth you can go to without incurring costly lessons and membership fees. If you've never shot before in WA, this is the place to go. Range staff were funny and friendly, Gun store staff were chatty and helpful, receptionist was a bit of a grump (though I can't blame her, she probably has to put up with a lot), she was punctual though. The range itself is indoors, 18 metres long, you get put in a tight booth with your weapon of choice, firmly strapped and secured with a base metal pole and two cables on either side (this is for liability purposes, in case someone tries to kill themselves (which they have done in the past) and even with the restraints still could now). It is understandable, but a little annoying, makes handling a little awkward and somewhat makes you question the substantial price tag. Overall, as I said, go here if you've never shot before, only real grievances I have are the restraints and costs, If they could reduce their prices, would probably rake in the business (that being said, they have somewhat of a monopoly in the Perth area).
Great range of guns and an absolute must for a non gun country resident to feel a real gun
I was 13 years old (last year), allowed to shoot there. I asked to hire their 1911 for the range. The lady at the front desk told me; "You can't fire handguns since you're not 16 years old". I could of sworn it said nothing of it on their website rules so instead I shot the .44 magnum rifle. After the shooting I double checked the rules and what do you know! Nothing about age restrictiveness on fire arms. This is really disappointing. Good prices, though. 2/5
