Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, Bathurst

(600+ reviews on the web)
Scenic Drive Tourist Spot
Try to catch a race at Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit if you're lucky enough to be in town when one's scheduled. This famous and unusual track features a 174 m (570 ft) difference between its highest and lowest points and uncommonly steep grades for a modern circuit. Tight turns, long straights, and steep hills make for thrilling races for both drivers and spectators. The track serves as a public road when organized races aren't using it, so take your own car for a spin if you're traveling with one and the track is empty. Take a look at our Bathurst tour planner to schedule your visit to Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Loved the place, awesome view. Loved driving around in my car. Will definitely be back for more. We have also visited the museum which was right next to it. The place was also easily accessible.  more »
  • When in Bathurst we had to drive the track. Altho not avid car racing enthusiasts it was a bit of fun. Interesting to see the houses that come off the track. Didnt cost anything and made us chuckle. M...  more »
  • Good to drive around and get a feel of the track which is commonly viewed and played on games. Worth doing it just for the sake of it...  more »

  • A good bit of free fun, whether you're into motorsport or not. Scenic views from the top of the mountain and a whole lot of fun getting up there and back down on the iconic race track.
  • Great experience to drive around the track yourself. Also a very nice view from the top of the mountain at night looking over the town.
  • The best track in Australia. The experiences are unforgettable and the organisation is great. Nothing can beat the atmosphere created during a Bathurst 1000 weekend. The views aren't bad either. You just need to be prepared for the inevitability of traffic at the end of the day. Driving on the track is great, and you underestimate the undulations of the track until you drive on it yourself. If you are a motorsport fan, this is a must go to track.
  • One of the best and most challenging race circuits in the world. Plenty of good viewing locations and excellent pit area. And it's a public road most of the time!
  • Great fun. Unfortunately heavy fog so visability was poor. Would love to see it on a clear day.
