  • One of the best swimming beaches in the world! Crystal clear water most days. Just on our doorstep. The best time to go is early morning before the crowd arrives.
  • Not just a beach, but also home to a few lovely cafes, most notably the Boathouse. Perfect for families and stunning in summer, good for walks and brekky in winter!
  • Beautiful beach inside a peaceful bay! Love it
  • Great park, good view and lots of dogs.
  • This is where the cockatoos come to graze (they eat the grass roots) and they are huge! I could stay here all day just watching them.
  • Quiet and pretty beach, nice start point for a coastal walk to Taronga zoo.
  • This is probably one of my favorite beaches in Sydney. It is simply great for a good swim as there are no big waves. What I really like is that this is a family beach with only a few tourists. It's not as crowded as Manly, Bondi or Coogee and the view onto the Gap is just beautiful. There is a wharf, great for fishing and some nice restaurants with a great view. The parking spots are convienently close to the beach, however, they are not very cheap (tickets required and if I remember correctly, it's 4 AUD per hour). The semi-island in the middle of the beach makes this place so special. You can have a picnic in the park or on the rocks of this island and enjoy the day. This place is very popular for wedding pictures...
