  • a beautiful garden , ships boats tied to the shore , a hill to play and climb and a beautiful view . its a very nice plays with lots of greenery and amazing views 
  • Met relations here. Got a ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo then a bus to Balmoral. Get off at the bottom of the hill. Go to Boatshed opposite for coffee or lunch and enjoy the walk along the be...  more »
  • Had not been to Balmoral for many years but in a recent trip to Sydney stopped down the hill for a coffeee with a friend. Still beautiful and a great place for a family picnic

  • This is where the cockatoos come to graze (they eat the grass roots) and they are huge! I could stay here all day just watching them.
  • Quiet and pretty beach, nice start point for a coastal walk to Taronga zoo.
  • This is probably one of my favorite beaches in Sydney. It is simply great for a good swim as there are no big waves. What I really like is that this is a family beach with only a few tourists. It's not as crowded as Manly, Bondi or Coogee and the view onto the Gap is just beautiful. There is a wharf, great for fishing and some nice restaurants with a great view. The parking spots are convienently close to the beach, however, they are not very cheap (tickets required and if I remember correctly, it's 4 AUD per hour). The semi-island in the middle of the beach makes this place so special. You can have a picnic in the park or on the rocks of this island and enjoy the day.
