One of the best swimming beaches in the world! Crystal clear water most days. Just on our doorstep. The best time to go is early morning before the crowd arrives.
Not just a beach, but also home to a few lovely cafes, most notably the Boathouse. Perfect for families and stunning in summer, good for walks and brekky in winter!
Beautiful beach inside a peaceful bay! Love it
Great park, good view and lots of dogs.
This is where the cockatoos come to graze (they eat the grass roots) and they are huge! I could stay here all day just watching them.
Quiet and pretty beach, nice start point for a coastal walk to Taronga zoo.
This is probably one of my favorite beaches in Sydney. It is simply great for a good swim as there are no big waves. What I really like is that this is a family beach with only a few tourists. It's not as crowded as Manly, Bondi or Coogee and the view onto the Gap is just beautiful. There is a wharf, great for fishing and some nice restaurants with a great view. The parking spots are convienently close to the beach, however, they are not very cheap (tickets required and if I remember correctly, it's 4 AUD per hour). The semi-island in the middle of the beach makes this place so special. You can have a picnic in the park or on the rocks of this island and enjoy the day. This place is very popular for wedding pictures...
