  • We took our children here over Easter 2017, we spent a few hours here, a very relaxed park with amazing birds, all very talkative and well looked after. Park is very budget friendly to get into, there is no eftpos so dont forget your cash. The owner is 90 years old, built the park himself and is still running it to this day. Dont overlook this place, its worth a visit & the owner is a lovely man. Thank you for having us.
  • Very outstanding, the birds were amazing and were breeding some of them aswell. A bird came up to me and wanted a scratch behind the neck and was such a lovely experience. I then went into the big bird cage and was very beautiful with the different types of birds flying around in an eco-friendly enviroment. I suggest who ever finds this to come and see because when i paid $30, it was well worth it. Dont listen to what the negative reviews say because its a great experience for the family and even a school to enjoy!
  • We visited Ballarat Bird World 30th September 2012. We were disappointed to see that most of the birds were kept in cages. The place looked run down. There were large holes in the net of the aviary. We paid $30 entry fee and felt we had wasted our money.
  • Great Family Value and personal interaction with birds. We're a family touring from sydney in school holidays and visited Ballarat Bird World on the 7th january 2013.This Bird World is soon to celebrate 40 years and it is still run by the original owners Paul and Joan who are now in their 80's. The bird park is in need of some minor repair to the netting of one of the Avery's, as others have stated, however just spending time with Paul & Joan, their birds and their knowledge is well worth the visit. Our son 9 and daughter 16 were thrilled when Paul invited us into the black cockatoo bird avery where they got to interact with a beautiful big black male cockatoo who was so friendly and gentle he would sit on our arms, shoulders and even head! There is also a great variety of colourful different parrots and a number of them talk and mimic. Kids will have a Wonderful time at this place as it doesn't take a long time to walk around and Paul has catered for, on many occasions persons with physical and intellectual disabilities where he lets them interact with his favourite black cockatoo. The family cost of $30 (2 adults & 2 children) is great value for money for the one on one experience you get. Overall 9/10. :)
