  • It's a wonderful national park with unique countryside. Lots of easy walks and the climb up the pyramid is well worth it for the fit and able. The campsite is well maintained and has excellent facilities. Unfortunately it's a bit of a victim of its own success as it attracts large numbers of visitors and campers so that it starts to feel like a caravan park. Also, If you find yourself at the campsites far from the showers you don't get a BBQ. We made a fire on the gravel but received a notice from the rangers to not do it again. This really sucked the fun out the following evenings. They really need to build fire pits at each campsite.
  • Kid loved the National Park, and riding around the camp ground on their bikes. The amenities block was clean and modern and the 4 min hot showers were satisfying. Great place to grab some fresh air do some bush walks and camp. I think it would be a little better when the creeks are flowing.
  • Heaps of different sized camp sites at Bald Rock. The 4 minute hot showers are amazing. Great hiking trails and amenities.
  • Some really picturesque walks. The Pyramid and Boulder Arch tracks can be done in a few hours. The signage could be better in some areas. I suggest taking a copy of a map, which can be obtained from the information centre.
  • Spectacular scenery during well maintained bush walks. Great camping. Worth a visit during all seasons as there is always something to enjoy. Wild flowers in spring, swimming in water holes in summer, very little humidity, and cold in winter. Vineyards and really lovely people everywhere. Can't wait to return. I fall in love with this part of the world a little more each time I visit.
