Girraween is great and I've been going there for over 30 years. It's only recently, though, that I've really started to explore. I've always enjoyed the walks east and west of the Bald Creek day use a...  more »

If you like nature walks but good parking and facilities, this is the place for you. There isn't anything else in the area quite like it. There are signs that say not to feed the birds. We hkwever mis...  more »

Girraween is a great national park less than 3 hours from Brisbane. We stayed in Bald Rock Creek camping ground. The facilities were very clean, and the hot shower was magnificent after a day of walki...  more »

Lots of beautiful walking tracks, some of which are definitely for more experienced hikers but there is a track for everyone. The family and I did the long walk down to the junction and granite arch it was awesome. The camp sites are well looked after as well as the amenities. The only thing to look out for are the possum that can and will get into anything you leave out over night

It's a wonderful national park with unique countryside. Lots of easy walks and the climb up the pyramid is well worth it for the fit and able. The campsite is well maintained and has excellent facilities. Unfortunately it's a bit of a victim of its own success as it attracts large numbers of visitors and campers so that it starts to feel like a caravan park. Also, If you find yourself at the campsites far from the showers you don't get a BBQ. We made a fire on the gravel but received a notice from the rangers to not do it again. This really sucked the fun out the following evenings. They really need to build fire pits at each campsite.

Good camping and day use facilities. Combination of walking, and shared bike trails through spectacular scenery.

Long drive but easily accessible with loads of adventurous activities such as walking in the jungle, climbing the Pyramid, the most interesting Dr. ROBERTS waterhole where you can see the reflection as of like mirror. My favourite was climbing the Pyramid. Camping area is set up with bbq plates where you can use your own timber for fire camp. Shower and bathroom facilities are available but no electricity, just to let you know there is no mobile and internet reception in camping area, overall, the place is perfect destination to visit.

A great picnic spot with heaps of options for bushwalking and climbing. The granite boulders are mind blowing and I highly recommend climbing The Pyramid!
