Waterfall Way, Armidale

(4.7/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Waterfall Way, a scenic route that gets its name from the waterfalls encompassed in the Dorrigo National Park, is frequently cited as one of Australia’s most beautiful tourist drives. Seven national parks, three of which are listed as World Heritage Areas and form part of the Gondwana rain forests of Australia, are located on or close to the route, which is a vital link between coastal and inland New South Wales. Along this route, which is 191 kilometers (119 mi) long, there are plenty of natural attractions for you to enjoy, including lush tropical rain forests, cascading waterfalls, and sprawling plains. Numerous spots along the way offer a range of accommodations, outdoor cafés, open-air markets, and roadside food stalls. A visit to Waterfall Way represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Armidale trip itinerary builder to plot your vacation.

  • We couldn't walk to far as we had an elderly lady with us however the paths to the two viewing areas were easy and the view was spectacular
  • Great to experience the Australian outdoor. Plenty of places to stop and admire the view. The drive itself is comfortable.
  • We stopped here for a rat during a long drive and was surprised at how beautiful the waterfall was. Worth the 1km drive in.
