A very well run bird sanctuary with beautiful beautiful birds that landed on our hands to be fed. Relaxed, full shade and excellent value for money. So good we're going again today before we go home. ...  more »

Unfortunately, the sanctuary is in a good condition. I'm no expert, but even though they advertise with the largest Freiluftgehäge, are but one birds in tiny cages under installed. We have seen macaws had plucked out some the feathers on the chest. Everywhere canister stand, the signs on the cages are all quite washed out, sometimes neither are present and it is nothing to do with love to detail. What they have in the most is a species of pigeon that jumps around everywhere, but if they're so rare... To our questions they don't even knew how many animals they had. On the fate of the macaws, neither knew what. It seemed to us the owners are no real experts whats y'all so a large number of animals. That's why the whole thing probably also for sale is available. It is the most positive to the sanctuary, that behind it lies a very large meadow with very relaxed, free-running kangaroos who let himself be photographed well. Probably you should go there despite everything, so that enough money in, to feed the animals. I hope can find a buyer with better intentions and know-how.

Bird lovers... You don't need to wait to kick the bucket to go to heaven... Just come here. So many birds flying freely and forraging around your feet for the seeds ($2 per bag. I recommend 2 bags per person). Hand feed them - many will fly onto you and eat what you have to offer. Birds are all in great health and with plenty of room to fly around and interact. I would absolutely come back and spend more time here!

Loved the experience of walking around with so many free flying birds. I even got to hold and play with a young macaw. I would highly recommend every bird lover to visit this place at least once. One handy tip is to go early, before the birds get fed so that come to you more.

Beautiful clean and tidy aviaries. Birds looking healthy and loved. Sanctuary is for sale, I wish I could buy it, but I do hope it goes to a bird loving person not development.

Great welcome by Charlie. Good variety of birds and not overly commercial. You can buy basic food and drinks e.g. pies.
