  • It is 80 km from Uluru and the Olgas, then Alice SP 370; is an ideal base for touring the area, it's cheaper than any other hotel in the area; and then have 80 km less to return to Alice SP or to Kings Canyon back which is very convenient. Otherwise the place is very simple. Tiny cabins, chilly in August, clean, 2 shared bathrooms with hot shower. Hot water for tea or other surcharge, 6 AU $ x 2 cups. The stars are there and the sense of being unique in the desert as well. Though attended by now more tourists by Australians on holiday, the kitchen leaves need, you need the meat on metal dishes and uninteresting, already cold. Forget Italian and American barbecue grills. Praiseworthy commitment of the family holding since 1956 in these difficult conditions. We stayed two nights and not regretted it for nothing. Unreserved seat

  • Small oasis in the middle of nowhere. Women workers were cordial. Men were gruff. Everything was extremely expensive. Interesting shipping containers converted to nice little motel rooms. Clean and air-conditioned!
  • Friendly staff and great amenities. I slept at the hotel, got fuel, and bought some snacks. Kinda expensive, but completely understandable considering that everything is shipped out there in the middle of nowhere.
  • Very run down shabby roadhouse campground. One toilet cubicle in the gents (the urinal was overflowing) so queues to use the rather grotty old facilities. Shower door was so swollen I couldn't get out once I had shut the door. Camping is behind the roadhouse next to the cemetery. Dust and ants, no grass to speak of. You can have campfires. The kitchen is one BBQ and a disgusting sink. Water and powered sites available for caravans. Not much positive to say here. Needs serious money spent on it, but it's cheap enough to sort of forgive it.
  • It's OK. If your camping you really need to be self contained
  • Great spot to stop and recharge. Friendly staff, good food, free campsite $3 for a shower when the camp cologne gets to much
