Araluen Cultural Precinct, Alice Springs

4.4
#4 of 16 in Museums in Alice Springs
A complex that houses art and history within its environs, Araluen Cultural Precinct showcases stunning and dynamic aboriginal art. Discover the history of skies at the aviation museum or the history of the earth at the geology and fossil exhibit. Catch a performance at the center for contemporary art and delight in the many galleries around the complex. If you're a film buff, check out the program for art-house films at the 500-seat theater, where independent films and live performance both find an audience. However, one of the highlights of the complex isn't the moving pictures but the magnificent stained-glass window that greets visitors at the entrance at the arts complex. What an amazing place. Beautiful aboriginal art from different cultural background, amazing museum with audio support from the beginning of the earth to early pioneers and the impact of white man in Central Australia. A beautiful exhibition. Well displayed. Well done to everyone who works there and created this place.

Really well done exhibitions that are respectful of multiple cultures. Spot on arts and cultural offerings, community vibe and reasonably priced crafts of high quality. This center is flat out dreamy.
