Araluen Cultural Precinct, Alice Springs

Categories: Art Museums, Specialty Museums, Museums
Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web
A complex that houses art and history within its environs, Araluen Cultural Precinct showcases stunning and dynamic aboriginal art. Discover the history of skies at the aviation museum or the history of the earth at the geology and fossil exhibit. Catch a performance at the center for contemporary art and delight in the many galleries around the complex. If you're a film buff, check out the program for art-house films at the 500-seat theater, where independent films and live performance both find an audience. However, one of the highlights of the complex isn't the moving pictures but the magnificent stained-glass window that greets visitors at the entrance at the arts complex. • Always a great experience, event very well organised, variety of different shows, exhibition and entertainment, friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere
  • a great little theatre, beautiful art gallery and museum
  • Great collection and exhibitions
  • Often hosting many entertaining events, the Araluen Arts centre has become an important part of the town's culture. If possible be sure to check out the beanie festival hosted here annually, it's always a laugh (though perhaps not so much for grumpy angst filled teenagers - I do speak from past personal experience here)
