It was wet, windy and cold, so we mostly stayed in the car; just braved the elements to visit a few of the main attractions (reviewed separately). Even in mid-winter we managed to see some nice flower...  more »

  • Well worth visiting, beautiful . The Gap, The Bridge etc...I was really impressed with the infrastructure making it accessible to all.
  • Memorable place to visit if you pass by in Albany. The best timing is in morning as you will not see anyone there. They have pay machines there, but no one pays tickets and there are no guards. Well...who do those rock belongs to, right? You can walk on the path that was builded recently or you can just on stones and have fun. Picturistiq landscape. Recommended to visit.
  • Great scenery across Bay, good long run along Bibbulmun Track but very long way back to Albany.
  • Plenty to see here, beautiful coastal scenery not to mention spectacular wave power to photograph
  • very beautiful here...you just say wow.....

Where to stay in Albany

While virtually free of large hotels, Albany does offer visitors a vast selection of guesthouses, motels, and rental apartments. Many of these are conveniently within the city center, perfect for sightseeing. If you prefer to stay closer to the beaches and a bit farther from the center, the suburbs of Middleton Beach and Emu Point are the places to go. Also on the coast, the Collingwood Park area is the best choice for golfers, with the 18-hole Albany Golf Course just around the corner.
