The Gap and Natural Bridge, Albany

(4.6/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
Standing atop The Gap and Natural Bridge is a humbling experience: The rocks are the same as those found in Antarctica, meaning that you are standing at the former juncture of two continents. It is an easy stroll on the 300 m (980 ft) flat path from the parking area to watch the waves, rock formations, and rugged coastline from the sheer cliff. Bring a waterproof jacket if windy or rainy. Keep an eye out for whales, which you can often see from the cliffs, especially during winter. Put The Gap and Natural Bridge on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Albany vacation builder.

  • Spectacular coastline and worth popping in for a look. New safety structures and can see through the floor which is a bit spooky - but really well done.
  • This is a truly awe inspiring place. The view of the platform as we approached it was spectacular. Then we went onto it - WOW not for the faint-hearted! The sea was crashing over the rocks right below...  more »
  • Travelled out from Albany to see the new viewing platform to show the rugged coastal landscape. It is fantastic and would recommend it any visitor
