  • The new anzac centre was amazing. More than just artifacts but hearing the journals and letters of these soldiers and nurses being read was nearly overwhelming and really humanized them and made them current. It is a quiet place of contemplation. I would only recommend small children if they can respect that.

  • Absolutely amazing! Takes a long time, but there is an incredible amount of information within

Where to stay in Albany

While virtually free of large hotels, Albany does offer visitors a vast selection of guesthouses, motels, and rental apartments. Many of these are conveniently within the city center, perfect for sightseeing. If you prefer to stay closer to the beaches and a bit farther from the center, the suburbs of Middleton Beach and Emu Point are the places to go. Also on the coast, the Collingwood Park area is the best choice for golfers, with the 18-hole Albany Golf Course just around the corner.
