A rambling, twisting trail making its way through some of Queensland’s most spectacular coastal scenery, Whitsunday Great Walk provides a safe and enjoyable way to explore the Airlie Beach region. The trail meanders and climbs high above sea level, ensuring that you’ll be able to look out across the ocean towards the spectacular Whitsunday islands. The walk is 2.5km (1.6 mi) long.   • We did the short version of this walk (8km to Honeyeater lookout) and thoroughly enjoyed it although it was very challenging in the heat and humidity Path is very sheltered from the sun, lots of birds...  more »
