Garden
Find serenity in Adelaide at the Himeji Garden. Japanese sister city, Himeji, presented the gardens as a gift in 1982, and landscape architect Yoshitaka Kumada visited a few years later to upgrade the layout and bring the design into line with the principles of a traditional Japanese. Take a self-guided tour of the sansui mountain and lake garden and of the karensansui dry rock garden. Try to arrive early if you want the gardens to yourself, and don't forget your camera. • an amazing oasis in the middle of Adelaide. Its beautiful. I will be back again.
  • The place does have a historical background on how it developed in the past, It was really small compared to the botanical garden or even the parks that surrounded the CBD. Although so, it's a compact Japanese garden, where many elements of japanese garden would have, nice view and good for a quick break.
  • Himeji = green. It exactly this place look like, green and calming. But there is a lonely duck in the pool... if only the duck looks happier, then will the garden.
  • Himeji Garden is an unassuming little pocket on the edge of Adelaide's CBD. Although quite small, garden is beautiful, lush and generally relaxing.
  • A hidden gem. Truely magical. Don't tell anyone!
