Beehive Corner, Adelaide

(130 reviews on the web)
Architectural Building Tourist Spot
A city landmark since 1849, Beehive Corner has been a meeting place for locals for over a century. The distinctive architecture of the refurbished building constructed in 1895 is easily recognizable for its Victorian red brick, piercing spires, and central location. On the first floor of the building, local retailers sell opals, clothing, and other goods to the bustling crowd traversing the sidewalks. • Memories of 'meet you at Beehive corner' linger from childhood and the early teenage years before all weekend trading! It's still an iconic place and love that Haighs is still there.  more »

  • BHC... Landmark and easy place to meet.
  • The beehive building and Haigh's Chocolates - icons
  • Delicious, family owned, Adelaide-made gourmet chocolates. Exceptionally large range of milk, dark, fruit, nut, mint, honeycomb chocolates and much more. Perfect for Christmas presents, Birthday presents and binge eating after a nasty breakup. (They are also good for eating casually as well) This store at the famous Beehive Corner is especially wonderful. Make sure to take note and smell the beautiful chocolate aromas as you walk in to this grand store. Ned G-M
