  • Located in the government district on Victoria Square, the Adelaide Town Hall is a central landmark of the city. Despite it being a government seat of the city, the Town Hall is also known for music. The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra regular performs concerts in the concert hall and the Beatles themselves famously perform from its balcony. Many people would hire the venue for weddings and private events due to the historical nature and the beautiful decorations. The Town Hall has a Victorian feel to its towers, reminiscent of many buildings I see in the City of London. The clock tower is named after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband. During Christmas, the hall is decorated with Christmas lights and a giant tree is put up in the park on Victoria Square in front of it.
  • Been to several events here over the years, consistently good service and brilliant acoustics in the main hall. I reccomend it for and event requiring a hall and some old fashioned charm
  • Beautiful decorations and infrastructure. Worth visiting! Lights during evening and on special occasions makes it really amazing place in Adelaide.
  • a very sexy Building
  • Lovely building both inside and outside, love the organ.

Where to stay in Adelaide

Most budget-friendly rooms in Adelaide cluster in the central business district, with plenty of backpacker accommodations located near the city's central bus station. Adelaide also boasts an outstanding public transport system, which makes staying outside the central areas a viable and economical option for sightseers. Look for quiet and affordable rooms in North Adelaide, a leafy neighborhood filled with an eclectic mix of shopping and dining options. Book early for visits during peak season, and expect higher prices on the weekends and during school holidays.
